Latest News On PNM Work

Susan Mize, president of Vista Redonda Water Association and Property Owners Association, reports:
"The PNM electrical upgrade to the Vista Redonda neighborhood is expected to start Monday, October 31, 2011. This work may be summarized as PNM's Phase I operation whereby they will perform work starting at State 592 by the water tanks, and only work on
  1. Vista Redonda Road between State 592 to the 4-way stop signs
  2. From the 4-way stop signs on Paseo Encantado NE to Entrada Corta to the Williams/Geldersma lot lines; and
  3. From Paseo Encantado NE up the access road to the Martin/Costello/Wilshire lot lines.
It is expected that this work will provide a basic infrastructure from their upgrades on Rt 592 to the VR subdivision, and to remedy in a small number of homes within Vista Redonda where major "faults" or electrical problems have been submitted by homeowners to PNM. Additional upgrades will be made in the future.

Jack Miller is Vista Redonda's primary contact with PNM for this project, and his services will be paid for by PNM.  Each evening, any open holes will be filled in by PNM.  Bill Berra will oversee that the roads are reconstructed properly with a base coarse by PNM.

PNM to Start its Neighborhood Project This Week

PNM is about to begin installing a new underground power cable, a project that will eventually involve digging up portions of Vista Redonda Roads. The company has notified the state that it will start its work at the intersection of 592 and Vista Redonda this week.
"Our Contractor," said project manager Veronica Hill, "will do some test holes and began work from the intersection across to the east side of 592 then continue along the highway right of way to MM 2.95."
"So if you see some activity at the entrance," Hill added, "this is what is going on."
