PNM To Dig Up Road Soon

Vista Redonda drivers will soon be dodging trenches on our roads as PNM workers begin replacing the major power line serving our neighborhood.
The tentative start date for the project is September 12, according to Veronica Hill PNM Project Manager. The state has granted the permits for the work on 592 leading up to the neighborhood. PNM officials are now meeting with county officials to obtain the necessary permits to work on Vista Redonda roads. Among the issues the county will explore with PNM is the mitigation of any damage to native plants and how the cuts in the road will be refilled.
There will, however, be no open trenches as night because the state is requiring that each day’s work be filled and closed at the end of the day. The equipment to be used will also be modest in size.
PNM promises to continue notifying the neighborhood about developments on this project and we will post them as soon as they are available.
